Cicado Creative Studio: Our Philosophy
At Cicado, we believe that fashion is not just about clothes, but a way to celebrate life. Inspired by the cicada—the symbol of the Greek Summer which with its incessant melody reminds us to live every moment with passion.
In Cicado Creative Studio, each garment is designed with comfort, ease and timeless elegance in mind. They are the essential pieces you will love and wear again and again, creating countless combinations. And most importantly? They are all made from fabrics that respect the environment and embrace your body, because we believe that true beauty comes from respecting both ourselves and our planet.

The International Experience behind the Brand
The heart of Cicado beats through the many years of its creator's journey, Golfias Konidaris. After years of experience in the demanding world of fashion in London, the Milan, the Dublin and the Athens, and having collaborated with iconic names in the global market such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Brown Thomas, Golfia acquired a unique professional look at high-end styling.
As a professional Stylist, Personal Shopper and Image Consultant, saw firsthand the need for a more meaningful way of dressing. This international stint in fashion metropolises gave her the knowledge to discern true quality and understand the importance of a wardrobe that serves the woman, beyond ephemeral trends.
Quality as a Sustainable Strategy: Natural Fabrics & Greek Tailoring
At Cicado, sustainability starts with the choice of materials. We use top quality natural fabrics from responsible sources, choosing fibers that breathe and offer lasting durability:
- Organic Cotton (GOTS-certified), Flax & Silk.
- Tencel & Bamboo: Modern, environmentally friendly materials with a soft texture.
- Quality Wool: Incredibly soft, thermoregulating with timeless elegance.
Each Cicado piece is designed and manufactured in Greece, supporting domestic craftsmanship and ensuring ethical production conditions and impeccable sewing quality.

Quality as a Sustainable Strategy
The first "trick" I reveal to my clients is Cost Per Wear.
When they ask me why they should invest in a higher-priced garment, I show them the truth: A quality pair of pants that will be worn 100 times costs less of 5 cheap pants that will stay on the hanger.
- Investment vs. Waste: Buying a good quality piece of clothing is an investment in your personal style. By investing in timeless pieces, you automatically reduce the need for quick, unsustainable purchases.
- Waste Reduction: In my work, sustainability starts with durability. There is no more environmentally friendly garment than one that remains in your closet, in pristine condition, for many years.

The Power of the Capsule Wardrobe & the Cost Per Wear
Our approach is based on creating a Capsule Wardrobe: a complete collection of timeless pieces that go together seamlessly. Our goal is to simplify your everyday life by offering solutions that eliminate the “I have nothing to wear” dilemma.
- The 3+ Pairs Rule: When I choose a new piece, I know that it should be able to be paired with at least three different items already in my closet. This strategy multiplies your looks.
- Zero Stress: Now, you won't need more than five minutes to get dressed. The neutral colors, classic lines and excellent fit of the clothes guarantee that every combination is a success.
- Layers: Don't be afraid to use your clothes in new ways. A shirt isn't just for tucked in; wear it open over a top as a light jacket or tie it at the waist.
- Upgrade with Accessories: A good belt, a special shoe or a statement piece of jewelry radically changes the identity of a basic outfit. Focus on your essential pieces and add intensity with accessories.
For us, the meaning of “Cost Per Wear” is fundamental: we invest in clothes that will be worn again and again, offering confidence in every look while reducing the environmental footprint through conscious consumption.
Styling Tips: Be Creative!
- The Power of Opposites: Don't be afraid to pair a pair of sharp woolen pants with a simple bamboo top. The contrast of textures adds depth to the ensemble and makes it look effortlessly chic.
- Day-to-Night Transition: A shift dress made of organic cotton can be worn in the morning with sneakers and an open shirt on top, while in the evening it is transformed with a leather belt at the waist and statement earrings.
- Monochrome Magic: Create a total look in neutral tones (e.g. Black, beige or sand). Monochrome elongates the silhouette and exudes a sense of “quiet luxury” that never goes out of style.
- Take care of your clothes: Sustainability is also hidden in the durability. Air your wool and linens instead of washing them frequently – natural fibers have the property of “self-cleaning” in fresh air, maintaining their shape for years.
