Basic Care Principles: For Longevity and Sustainability

Read the Label: Every garment has its own needs. The label is your guide.
Wash less: Natural fabrics are frequently refreshed by airing. Wash only when needed, saving water and energy.
Prefer Cold Water: It protects colors, reduces energy and is gentle on fibers.
Use Natural Detergents: Choose biodegradable, chemical-free ones for your skin and the environment.
Dry Naturally: Let your clothes air dry in a shady place. It's the gentlest way.
Iron with Care: Use low temperature and iron on the reverse side.
Store with Care: Store clothes cleanly, in a dry, cool place, using fabric bags.

Instructions for Natural Fabrics

Organic Cotton: Machine wash in cold or lukewarm water (up to 30°C). Tumble dry. Iron at medium temperature.
Linen: Machine wash in cold water (up to 30°C) on a gentle cycle. Dry naturally. Iron while still damp, at high temperature.
Wool (Merino/Cashmere): Hand wash with cold water and special detergent, or machine wash on wool cycle. Dry flat. Airing is often sufficient.
Tencel/Lysoel: Machine wash in cold water (up to 30°C) on gentle cycle. Hang to dry naturally. Iron at low temperature if necessary.
Viscose / Rayon / Bamboo: Hand wash or machine wash in cold water (up to 30°C) on a gentle cycle. Avoid wringing. Lay flat to dry, out of direct sunlight. Iron at a low temperature while still slightly damp.

Cancellations, refunds and changes

Returns Policy

At Cicado, we want you to absolutely love your new pieces. We also believe in conscious consumption and minimizing our environmental footprint, which is why our returns policy is designed to encourage thoughtful choices.

20 Day Return Window

You have 20 days from the date of delivery to return your item(s). This extended timeframe gives you the opportunity to make sure your new choices are perfect for your modern wardrobe, reducing the pressure to make quick decisions.

For a product to be eligible for return, it must be unworn, unwashed, and in the same excellent condition you received it, with all original tags attached.

Conscious Returns & Environmental Contribution

To align with our commitment to sustainability and encourage conscious shopping, a €5 return processing fee along with the return shipping cost will be deducted from the total amount of your refund. This combined deduction helps us partially offset the environmental impact associated with the returns supply chain, including packaging, transportation and reprocessing, and supports our efforts to promote a more sustainable approach to fashion by reducing unnecessary emissions and waste.

Changes

We are happy to facilitate exchanges for a different size or color. To ensure you find the perfect fit, please contact our customer service team at [email protected] within the 20-day return window. Let us know which product you would like to exchange and the new size/color you require. If available, we will hold the new product for you. Once we have received and inspected your original product in perfect condition, we will ship your new choice at no additional shipping cost. This ensures a seamless exchange for you!

Damaged or Defective Products

Your satisfaction is our top priority. While we thoroughly inspect each product before shipment, occasionally a product may arrive damaged or defective. If this occurs, please contact our customer service team immediately at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery, providing your order number and clear photos of the damage or defect. We will gladly replace the product or offer a full refund, including shipping costs, for verified damaged or defective products.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will send you an email notification. If approved, your refund (minus the return processing fee and return shipping costs) will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 5-10 business days of approval.

Please note that the delivery date indicated is estimated and is based on the production schedule. Although we make every effort to meet the schedules, there may be minor delays due to factors beyond our direct control. Cancellation: The customer reserves the right to cancel the pre-order and receive a full refund at any time, before the product is shipped from our warehouse. After shipment, the usual returns policy applies.
